CPM is network management software that polls your DOCSIS network, gathers device status and then displays it, while also storing data for later analysis. Through the hierarchical directory tree, you see at-a-glance status of your DOCSIS network. By drilling-down and selecting individual items, you see a detailed view of parameters for cable modems, eMTA, CMTS, and other equipment. CPM has been designed to be massively scalable, with support for millions of Cable Modems. The client/server architecture supports any number of administrators or operators running the CPM console, creating a centralized view of the health of the data network, and leading to coordinated, accelerated troubleshooting and problem-fix operations. Through our distributed capabilities, CPM can be used at many sites, while being managed from central locations. CPM stores and manages the network device information in an embedded object database, for optimum performance. CPM runs on Solaris, Linux and other platforms, and may also be run with Oracle or other back-end database engines for use in a large integrated architecture. The software is easy to install, easy to operate, and easy to get to a high return on your investment! ![]()
![]() CPM knows about DOCSIS 1.0, 1.1 and DOCSIS 2.0 cable modem devices and CMTS. It accommodates these devices with native support for all DOCSIS features, and offers easy extensions to create scripts for custom management of CM’s in your cable plant. Furthermore, CPM supports any SNMP and MIB compliant devices, adding new devices easily and extending the range and capability of the software without custom coding. CPM will also support DOCSIS 3.0 capabilities in the near future, as it is deployed into the cable plant. CPM is currently in use by cable operators of all sizes, from 500 to 1,000,000 |
